Planning for My Vans Commercial

 Props:

My main prop for the commercial will be the Vans shoes. I am planning to highlight different styles that the sneakers come in. I am going to include at least 3 different styles of the shoe, maybe more if I can find some.

Costumes:

My friends and I will take turns acting in the commercial. The actors will dress in a typical skater outfit. This includes mainly baggy clothes, such as cargo pants, flannels, and graphic t-shirts. Accessories are an essential aspect of the costume. Jewelry like, necklaces, rings, and chains are common accessories for a skater outfit. Beanies, bucket hats, and belts are can also be apart of the costume. Obviously, the Vans shoes are the most important part of the costume, since hat is the product that I am advertising. 

Schedule: 

10/23/20- I research the conventions and aspects specific to a Vans commercial.

10/23/20- I establish everything I need, such as the costumes, props, my schedule, my plan and backup plan.

10/26/20- I will begin to create my storyboard and draw the scenes for my commercial.

10/28/20- I will film myself skating at the park with my different pairs of Vans.

10/29/20- I will film my friend skating in my parking garage and take shots of her Vans.

10/30/20- I will edit all the footage together, add the sound, and add final touches.

Location:

On the first day of filming, I will go to my first setting for the commercial, which is Holiday Park. My family members will film the clips where I will skate in my different pairs of Vans and attempt to do skate tricks. My second day of filming will be with my friend at the parking garage at apartment complex. I will film some shots of her skating down the different levels with the sunset as the background.

Backup Plan:

If the weather is not good, or my friend becomes unavailable, I can be the actor for the commercial. My family members can help with filming me, while I skate. The parking garage has lower levels that are a good setting to film my commercial, if the weather does not turn out good.

  My name is Sasha Grivas and I am a student at Fort Lauderdale High School. I am a junior and this is my first year in Media Studies. I don't have any personal experience with doing film or any type of media before. However, I have learned so much knowledge so far this year about different shots, angles, movements, and genres. I have started to enjoy doing media, such as filming, editing, directing, etc. After doing some filming projects, I feel a lot more comfortable with filming. I am not as stressed as I would be, since I have had some practice throughout the year. For the final task, I have decided to do the project by myself. Personally, I work better alone. My name is Sasha Grivas and I am a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. Some interests that I enjoy are skateboarding, swimming, and knitting. I joined my first swim team when I was at a young age, around 6 years old, and have been swimming since. Swimming has always come natural to me, it wasn't a very difficult sport, but it still challenged and pushed me to become better. My favorite stroke is butterfly, even though it is the hardest one to do, in my opinion.
