Filming Blog: Getting the Lip-Sync Right

Today, I did my second day of filming. After my first day, I went back to go over the shots I had taken. When I tried to edit them together, I realized that they could be better. Another thing I had noticed was that the lip-sync wasn't right. Some lyrics were said ahead or before the actual lyrics to the song. While planning my schedule, I had left enough time for days to reshoot scenes in cases like this. There were only a couple scenes that weren't right. So, my sister and I redid the scenes in the club room. We got our costumes and props and headed up there. We both put on our costumes, which were long fancy dresses. We both had sunglasses and purses with us as added accessories. To make sure the lyrics were right this time, my sister played the sing on her phone while recording. She was the one who recorded the scenes, because it gave a better angle rather than leaning it against something. She did multiple shoots of each scene, just in case. It took a couple tries, because I wanted it to be completely right this time. The scene where my sister was in also was the on that took longest. We couldn't stop laughing at random things that we did. I also redid some scenes in the beginning of the video. I decided to make some changes to some of the actions. I realized it would look better and more in flow. The initial scenes were very choppy and they did not go well together. I changed the location of the camera, and instead of sitting on the bed, I went to a desk.
