Intro Blog: Starting the Final Task
My name is Sasha Grivas and I am a student at Fort Lauderdale High School. I am a junior and this is my first year in Media Studies. I don't have any personal experience with doing film or any type of media before. However, I have learned so much knowledge so far this year about different shots, angles, movements, and genres. I have started to enjoy doing media, such as filming, editing, directing, etc. After doing some filming projects, I feel a lot more comfortable with filming. I am not as stressed as I would be, since I have had some practice throughout the year. For the final task, I have decided to do the project by myself. Personally, I work better alone. It is easier for me to decide on an idea that I like, instead of arguing with a partner on a pitch. For the next couple of months, I will also be out of state because of my mom's work. I would not be able to meet up with a group to film together. Most of the media projects I have done this year, I worked alone. I have wanted to be in a group with my friends for these projects. However, most of my friends' parents are very cautious about the coronavirus. They are wary about them meeting with other people, especially in public. My mom is the same way, so I think those are the main reasons that it is easier for me to work alone. I will probably have my sister play an actor in my movie, though. She has helped me with my other media projects by playing an actor. Sometimes, she helps film me when I am the one in the scene, too.
