Production Blog: Finishing Up Filming

:Last weekend, we had a longer weekend because of Easter. I took this time to film a couple more scenes with my sister. We packed all of our supplies including, costumes and props. My mom drove us over to the State Park. We walked along the trail and went into a deeper part so it looked more secluded. The State Park had more greener trees and palm tress than the setting in the beginning. I tried to make it less noticeable. Instead, I made sure only the trunks of the tress were in the frame. Me and my sister filmed there for about an hour. We got a lot done. I only need the scenes in the beginning with my mom. I am planning to do that later in the week. I also might need to go back to the State Park. It will give me a chance to redo scenes that need fixing. And maybe if I have enough time in the end, I could redo the beginning so the settings look alike. I am a little worried that it will look bad, but I think it will be okay. The rest of the time will be spent editing everything together. I didn't finish finding the right music for the film. Next week is the last week until I have to finish the film. The entire week will be focusing on finding music, sound effects, trimming, etc.

  My name is Sasha Grivas and I am a student at Fort Lauderdale High School. I am a junior and this is my first year in Media Studies. I don't have any personal experience with doing film or any type of media before. However, I have learned so much knowledge so far this year about different shots, angles, movements, and genres. I have started to enjoy doing media, such as filming, editing, directing, etc. After doing some filming projects, I feel a lot more comfortable with filming. I am not as stressed as I would be, since I have had some practice throughout the year. For the final task, I have decided to do the project by myself. Personally, I work better alone. It is easier for me to decide on an idea that I like, instead of arguing with a partner on a pitch. For the next couple of months, I will also be out of state because of my mom's work. My name is Sasha Grivas and I am a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. Some interests that I enjoy are skateboarding, swimming, and knitting. I joined my first swim team when I was at a young age, around 6 years old, and have been swimming since. Swimming has always come natural to me, it wasn't a very difficult sport, but it still challenged and pushed me to become better. My favorite stroke is butterfly, even though it is the hardest one to do, in my opinion. I participated in districts last year, and I was in the butterfly set, and even though I hadn't qualified for regional, the experience has made me want to do better the next time.With practice and training, I've been able to push myself to swim faster.
