This video is my Creative Critical Reflection for my final task. I wanted to be creative so I made it into a sort of radio station with a guest. I put a lot of hard work and effort into the project, and I am proud of the product.
I started filming over the course of my Thanksgiving break. The week off gave me plenty of time to film and reshoot any scenes. It took a couple takes of each scene to have plenty of choices. The first few scenes were shot in my room. I did not have someone hold the camera in these scenes to avoid shakiness. Instead, I leant it against my window sill. This made it easier to change angles, and also to make it steadier. Although, for the high angle, my sister held the camera. She has a bunk bed next to mine which allowed her to be higher. I had the music playing in the background so it was easier for me to lip sync it. It was playing on my computer at my desk. The other scenes were shot at a room in my apartment complex. This is the storyboard for the final task. I wanted to be sure that I could fit all of the scenes I wanted in 60 panels. So, before I finalized it, I sketched out a rough draft of a storyboard. I wanted to see how much panels I could think of. If there were not enough, I would add a few more details, like facial expressions or actions. If I felt that something was unnecessary, I would change it to something more relevant to the film. It took a couple of tries to fit everything I wanted. Finally, I had all 60 panels for my storyboard. I believe that it is an accurate demonstration of my idea. Of course, I am not a very good artist. But for me, I can understand what each panel represents. It shows me what kind of setting or mood I want to establish in that scene. The facial expressions, actions, sounds, etc. are all what tell me what I need to demonstrate in that scene. The storyboard acts as a guideline for what I need to direct. It tells me exactly in picture what I want to conve...
